There are 70 filler episodes in Toriko, some of which are important story arcs (such as the Mellow Cola one), while most aren’t. I’ve created this Toriko Filler List to make things easier for you. I’ll put links beneath each episode showing where to watch them officially and unofficially. You can see the list on sparkanime.

How Much Filler is in Toriko?
There are a lot of filler episodes in the Toriko series. With 147 episodes, there are 20 filler episodes, which gives the series a filler episode score of 14%.
Toriko Filler List Episodes Guide:
This article will contain spoilers for those who have not seen every episode of Toriko . Episodes 1-44 are considered canon to the events in the Toriko manga series while episodes 45 onwards are filler episodes exclusive to the anime adaption. However, this does NOT mean that these episodes will be any less enjoyable than the episodes – they’re worth watching, if only to see more Toriko .
Toriko Filler List Episodes 1-44
In the first episode of Toriko, the Straw Hats, under Luffy’s command, are running low on food supplies. The Going Merry is guided towards an island by Luffy to resolve this problem. As Luffy and his crew arrive on the island, Nami, Sanji, and Chopper investigate the island until they discover an unknown race member. Toriko is a being with an unusual way of eating.
Chopper runs away in fear from Toriko when he mistakes Chopper for food. A scene in the movie shows Luffy eating meat from a pig that he had just beaten into submission with his Gomu no Mi abilities (the meat being what we would call pork). Having cleared up their differences, the two groups go in search of a supposedly extinct bird on the island. Upon searching for this bird, they discover roasted boar legs over an open fire which they mistake for a bird.
Story About Toriko:
A sample of the spoils from the large pig that they defeat is then consumed. A delicious fruit is rumored to exist on a mountain, so after gathering food for the journey, they head off to the mountain. This is an episode in between. Toriko’s character and his relationship with Komatsu (the cook) are shown in the flashback. It has no relevance to the main plot.
A group of Cocoalas greets them as they travel towards the mountain where the fruit is said to be at its sweetest. Having separated from Luffy and Toriko’s group, these Cocoalas kidnap Nami and Komatsu. They then proceed toward the mountain, only to discover that it is surrounded by hundreds of Cocoalas. They see two individuals behind them as the creatures are preparing to attack them. A girl named Coco with long black hair and glasses is the first person. In addition, Sunny is a young boy.
Episode 42: The Gourmet King Championship:
As they seek out the most delicious food for a hungry Seven-Color Nessie, Toriko, Sunny, and Coco go on a food hunt. Tenkaichi Night Festival thwarts the search for Toriko’s party. A huge scale measures the food’s weight relative to the food’s weight on a giant scale at the festival. One hundred-pound durian is Sunny’s heaviest fruit. In addition to good food, Toriko and Coco are later called away by the Gourmet Cells of Toriko.
At sea, it seems that Midora has found a feast of his own as he has captured an entire whale with his bare hands. This is another filler episode which takes place after Episode 39 and before Episode 43 of Toriko Anime. The reason why this episode was created as a Toriko Filler List is because this episode shows Toriko, Sunny and Coco enjoying the Tenkaichi Night Festival which is an event only celebrated in the anime version. Since Toriko also went to the Tenkaichi Night Festival in Episode 44 and Episode 45, it was decided that this episode would be created as filler to show Toriko Filler List enjoying a much more relaxed time at the festival than he did in Episode 44 and Episode 45.
Episode 43: Bonding Dish! Partners are Forever!
In the beginning of the episode, Toriko, Komatsu, and Rin were in the forest enjoying themselves. Their feet slipped, and suddenly the ground collapsed underneath. However, Komatsu and Rin were unable to grab onto the vine, and both died as a result. Despite Toriko’s efforts, he couldn’t save them.
As part of the episode, we are to provide a special meal to the seven-colored sea monster. The Heavenly Kings obtain the ingredients from a variety of locations, each with its own problems that they must overcome. The episode is based off the same-titled chapter of the “Toriko” manga.
Episodes 51-52 in Toriko Filler List
Some information about Jirou may be included during these episodes. As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: A large portion of episode 52 is a recap with some minor additions to it, most notably regarding Sunny’s introduction to Toriko and Zebra . As such this episode does not offer any new information or insight into the story whatsoever. If you’ve been following Toriko from the beginning then I would suggest skipping this one.
Episode 56 – 57
Some information about Match may be included during these episodes. As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: Toriko ‘s battle with Jirou occurs during these episodes, however it is not much of a fight as Toriko does not even land a single blow against his opponent before he is captured. As such, if you have been following Toriko from the beginning then I would recommend skipping this episode.
Episode 69: Surpass Dad! Midsummer gobbling katsu curry!
My dad loves katsu curry. -Komatsu, while making a curry for his dad. It’s midsummer! We’re going to the beach to surf and eat some delicious sea food! -Toriko. This week features Toriko and friends making a yummy summertime katsu curry with ingredients from the ocean. The episode starts out with Komatsu expressing how much he wants to make a curry that his father will love for Father’s Day. Komatsu lives in an apartment alone after running away from home because his father always mistreated him. Komats then sees Rin and Zebra fighting at the beach and tries to stop them, but Zebra gets knocked unconscious.
Episode 70: Connecting Bonds! The superb Gatsugatsu curry
Episode 70 of Toriko is a Toriko Filler List, which in my opinion was somewhat entertaining. It’s a good filler episode, that doesn’t feel like it. It has quite a bit of drama going on as well, unlike many other fillers. I enjoyed this episode and I do recommend it to others who are looking for something entertaining to watch. The main plot of Episode 70 is Komatsu helping a chef regain his lost cooking skills. It’s an interesting plot, and is kept very well throughout the entire episode.
Episode 70 was mostly Toriko fighting the Water Tiger so he could get fresh water so he can travel through the desert. Water Tiger’s history is also revealed, showing that he didn’t always act the way he does now, and also demonstrating to us that his character has developed(in my opinion). This episode part was also quite enjoyable because Toriko showed us just how strong he really is. Although he seems to struggle with Water Tiger, one of the strongest creatures on Earth, he is able to defeat him. It takes Toriko no time to show that he is deserving of the title Gourmet Hunter.
Episodes 71-74 Toriko Filler List:
Some information about Sunny may be included during these episodes as he continues to battle with Tommyrod . As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: This episode contains the final moments of Toriko ‘s battle against Tommyrod so if you have been following Toriko from the beginning then you may want to watch this one rather than skipping it.
Some information about Brunch and Pukra may be included during these episodes. As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: A flashback occurs during this episode that shows some previously unmentioned details regarding the relationship between Sunny and Toriko . If you have already seen these events then I would suggest skipping this episode as you will probably already know most of what will be revealed within it.
Some information about Tommyrod may be included during these episodes. As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: An interesting filler scene occurs near the end of this episode when Komatsu is being held captive by Brunch , in which Brunch tells him about how Zebra used to power up his Devil Fruit ability in order to increase its effect and range, much like how Luffy uses Gear Second in One Piece . If you have already seen these events then I would suggest skipping this episode as you will probably already know most of what will be revealed within it.
Episodes 87-88 in Toriko Filler List
Some information about Neo may be included during these episodes. As such I would recommend watching these at your own discretion. Also note: An interesting filler scene occurs near the end of this episode when Komatsu is being held captive by Brunch , in which Brunch tells him a bit about his Devil Fruit abilities and how they work, even going so far as to mention Light Stand . If you have already seen these events then I would suggest skipping this episode as you will probably already know most of what will be revealed within it.
Episodes 99 in Toriko Filler List
Having escaped from the deadly Dango Trees of the Can Desert, Toriko and Komatsu are invited to stay at a luxury hotel in Life, owned by Chief Mansam. When they arrive, they find Mansam is very busy trying to keep an unusual ingredient called Rainbow Fruit from spoiling. It turns out that this fruit has incredible regenerative properties, even bringing forth life on its own! However, it can only be found deep within the Sand Garden (a desert region rife with quicksand), which frequently experiences earthquakes.
Mansam decides to make an executive decision; he will combine his combination of ingredients into one new dish using the Rainbow Fruit as its main ingredient. With some help from his new chef buddies – including Rin – he succeeds in creating the Rainbow Fruit, which causes all of them to instantly fall unconscious. When they wake up, they find that Mansam has been taken away by NEO’s GT Robot.
Episode 112- “I Love Oikawa Tochi!!” (Mangaka Oikawa Tochi wa Suki!!)
It’s all about food in the new episode of Toriko. The manga series cracks up with funny story arcs like this every once in a while and it always feels fresh for me even if I am already used to all that action of punching outrageous beasts head on! This episode was special because of the appearance of a very popular character from another show: Romance Dawn Arc Ace ! Luffy wasn’t much seen fighting, but he stole the show every time he opened his mouth! He is a natural comedian here as well apparently.
I’ll start writing spoilers about Toriko Anime episode 113 . Then I’ll skip the last part of this paragraph to write about One Piece episode 677’s spoilers. So, scroll down if you want to read only what happens in Toriko 113 episodes. And BTW. Episodes 112-113 are 2 consecutive episodes. Episode 113 is a continuation of Episode 112. Also, this article contains lots spoil so don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
Toriko and Starjun head to the moon in order to fight their final battle. Just when Toriko’s down, Komatsu arrives in his new GT Robo with Coco and Sunny joining in the fight. They hold off against Starjun until Jirou comes to assist them in his new GT Robot too, but this time with Tommyrod. Back on Earth Zebra, Rin, Brunch and Mansam are also fighting against Alfaro who demonstrates that he is far stronger than before using his new Jewel Meat technique.
Komatsu finally unveils his newly enhanced Century Soup though it badly weaken him, weakening the Beasts all at once as well which allows for a quick victory through decapitation of all four of them. Jirou and team manages to defeat Tommyrod and steal his Jewel Meat (which recovers all the damage caused by Komatsu’s Century Soup), but the main host of NEO, Joie who is also named as Neo, announces that he has captured Komatsu. Meanwhile on the moon, Starjun reveals his true identity in front of Toriko.
