Death Note follows the story of Light Yagami, whose supernatural notebook allows its user to defeat anyone whose name they know. With this power in his hands, Light sets out to create a perfect utopia where criminals are eliminated for good. Episode 1: Rebirth

Confrontation With Kira, Light Yagami is an ordinary university student who spends most of his time studying and has a girlfriend named Shiori Akino. One day at school, Light stumbles across a laptop left in the school library by accident. Having found that it belongs to the previous owner, he starts using it and is shocked to find out that it runs on a Linux system.

Light Yagami finds a folder called ‘Death Note’ in the laptop’s desktop which contains information about killing people just by writing their names on pieces of paper. Initially skeptical of what this file contains, Light reads more of its contents and eventually accepts that its claims are true after testing it out successfully on an escaped prisoner. Believing that his use of the notebook is for justice, Light decides to create his own brand of justice with him as Kira.”
